What is AB 1346?
AB 1346 is a bill that has passed in California which prohibits the sale of new, small gas-powered engines. The pollutants which these engines emit and the effect they have on the health of the human population are one of the points behind the AB 1346 bill.
The exhaust and pollutants emitted from SOREs generate smog and add to the declining air quality and the health of the statewide population.
Emission requirements will need to be set to zero for newly manufactured small off-road engines or SORE. A carpet cleaner is just one of the affected equipment listed on the bill.
